Project Overview

Painted Life has been making films with the Shrewsbury Book Award every year since 2014. This project is designed to help children develop a real love of reading.

We have documented the project, going into schools and help in the classroom, give workshops and advice to teachers, and present a fantastic awards ceremony for all the children to attend. The documentation has helped the project secure funding each year as well as playing promoting the project near and far. We have also been involved in the project by teaching film-making, hosting workshops and presenting 2020’s Award ceremony as a replacement for the live show. We always welcome new challenges from these guys!
